Lyons NY Stoneware Jug Adorable squat stoneware jug! It is incised "LYONS, N.Y." on the front under the pour spout. It has a brown albany slip glaze and you can see the potter's finger prints along the bottom as well as an impression pressed into the bottom of the applied handle. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide. Condition is excellent with no cracks. There are normal rough spots but no large chips. There is one bubble pop. A nice old jug!!

Cobalt Blue Pottery Flower Frog Bud Vase This is an incredible blue pottery vase standing 6" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. It has holes punched around the center bud vase hole to place more flowers. The bottom is rough as this is an early piece of pottery. The clay is medium brown with a hint of yellow (yellow ware??). You can see the potter's fingerprints in the glaze along the bottom!

Condition is excellent with normal old pottery pops and glaze misses. No cracks or chips or abnormal issues. This is one of my favorite pieces of pottery - great for a flower frog collector or those who just love old blue pottery!

Yellow Stoneware Bowl with Brown Band This is a nice 9" X 5" tall, yellow mixing bowl. It has an arched design with two thin brown bands and 1 wide brown band. Condition is excellent with no cracks or chips. There is normal aging such as crackle in the glaze, pottery pops, and scuffing on the bottom from shelf sitting. The bottom is marked USA and 104.

Early Donaghho Wax Sealer - Albany Slip Glaze This is an excellent 10" wax sealer jar made by Donaghho with an early Albany slip glaze dating it to the late 19th century. It is stenciled "Donaghho Co Parkersburg.WV."

Condition is excellent with no cracks or chips. There are some normal glaze pops and misses as well as a few small glaze flakes. The interior is glazed as well - the hard glassy finish was ideal for food storage. The exterior is a deep brown color with a glossy finish. Also of interest - you can see the smear of the potter's finger marks on the bottom of the jar!

10 Gallon Donaghho Crock This is an outstanding #10 crock by Donaghho Co of Parkersburg, WV! It measures 19 3/8" tall and 12 1/2" wide at the widest point. Circa late 1800's.
The front is marked in blue, "10 Donaghho Co Parkersburg".

Condition is as good as I've found with a crock this size! No cracks! There are some streaks in the glaze (see photos) and a shallow chip on the bottom rim in the back that measures 1 1/8" X 1/2". There is a black substance on the bottom and near the base - I believe it is a blob of glaze which is called turkey droppings.

This piece is only available for U.S. shipping due to the size and weight - the crock weighs 26 pounds without any packing!
