Used in the days before plastic tabs... It measures 4 1/4" long and 2" wide at widest point. Condition is good with normal aging. Mesmer Dairy Box - Milk Box This is a nice advertising dairy milk box for Mesmer & Sons Dairy which I believe was based in New York. It is very well marked on the front with bold, black letters "Mesmer & Sons Dairy Inc" and both sides are embossed with "Mesmer". It measures 11 1/8" tall, 16 1/2" wide and 10 5/8" deep. Condition is excellent - it is very clean, the lettering is excellent and the hinged top works perfectly. There are two small age/rust spots on the edge of the top, one crinkle dent in the top and a little oxidation here and there.
