This is a wonderful Blenko floor vase in crystal optic! It measures 19 1/2" tall and 9" wide at the widest point. It is in wonderful condition with no cracks or chips and the glass is clear and bright. There is a blip of extra glass on the side near the bottom, plenty of small air bubbles and spots of slight roughness on the outside due to bubbles and speckles in the glass. The optic design is wonderful in the way it picks up light - fill this vase with colored marbles, or better yet - bits of old blenko stained glass - to create a dramatic effect! It is my understanding that this optical effect was created by "accident" when a glass worker sucked the air out of a vase in order to make it smaller to discard.

| When the interesting effect was noticed, he blew it back out and it created the effect. When you run your hands around the outside of the vase, you can detect the ribs but you must run your hand along the inside of the vase to feel the full effect of the optic ribbing. |
