Manufacturer: Donaghho
This is an excellent 10" wax sealer jar made by Donaghho with an early Albany slip glaze dating it to the late 19th century. It is stenciled "Donaghho Co Parkersburg.WV."
Condition is excellent with no cracks or chips. There are some normal glaze pops and misses as well as a few small glaze flakes. The interior is glazed as well - the hard glassy finish was ideal for food storage. The exterior is a deep brown color with a glossy finish. Also of interest - you can see the smear of the potter's finger marks on the bottom of the jar!
