7-1543

Mechanical Battery Operated Monkey with Cymbals This furry fellow used to play the cymbals upon demand using two D batteries - alas my attempt to make him play for me has not worked so he's looking for a home that prefers his funny little face to his musical abilities (unless of course he finds a home of the mechanically inclined who can fix the reason why he no longer plays...). That being said, his furry body is in very good condition. He has a few stains on his clothes and some normal dinginess associated with age. He is marked "CK Made in Japan" on the bottom of the battery cover. He stands 10 1/2" tall in his current position and 6 3/4" wide. He is circa 1960's and when he worked he would clap the cymbals while his eyes bugged in and out and his mouth grinned a crazy monkey grin.

Red Wing Bowl This is a large bowl by Red Wing Pottery. It has a cream colored base with reddish brown speckles inside and out. The glaze is shiny and in great shape! It measures 12 5/8" long, 11" wide and 5" tall. It dips slightly in the middle forming a scooped bowl and I believe is the "Casual" shape by Red Wing. It is clearly marked on the bottom and is in excellent shape. There are no cracks or chips, the glaze is shiny and there are only a few minor light scratches. I believe this is a piece from the 1950's and goes well with the Red Wing Bob White line.

Hull Pottery Clock This is a fabulous clock made by Hull with a Sessions clock insert. It is off-white with two bright rings of red flanked by bright red cherries with pale green leaves. It measures 8 3/8" in diameter and is 1 1/2" think with the clock insert. Condition of the pottery is super with no cracks or chips. There is overall normal crazing. The clock insert has been modified by a professional clock repairman. The electric motor has been replaced by a battery run motor, making it safer and easier to use by making placement on any wall possible (i.e. you don't have to have a plug-in nearby). Note photo of the back of the clock. It uses a AA battery (not included). This item is located in my showcase in The Old Timey Shop in Milton, WV. In the event that it sells in my shop, there is the possibility that this item has not been promptly removed from the TIAS listing - my apologies if that happens!!
